[Placeholder — pending counsel review] The prose below is placeholder copy so the page, table of contents, and cross-references can be wired end-to-end. Final text must be supplied by VenuIQ's legal counsel before launch. Do not treat any text on this page as a legally binding policy.
This Privacy Policy describes how VenuIQ ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our event lead-intelligence platform, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It also explains the rights you have over your information and how you can exercise them.
What data we collect
We collect data you provide directly (account details, company information, event registrations), data generated automatically through your use of the Services (device identifiers, session data, interaction telemetry), and data from third parties (OAuth providers such as Google, and your event Host where you attend or exhibit at an event on VenuIQ).
How we use your data
We process personal data to deliver the Services, authenticate users, route event context correctly, generate lead intelligence for Hosts and Exhibitors, provide attendee-facing event information, secure the platform against abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
Who we share data with
VenuIQ shares personal data with event Hosts (for attendees of their events) and Exhibitors (for leads captured at their stand), with sub-processors who operate our infrastructure (cloud hosting, database, authentication, push notification delivery), and with authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, tax, and audit obligations. Event-specific data is retained under the Host's retention configuration and deleted when the Host closes the event or on your explicit request.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Requests can be made from your Privacy & Notifications screen inside the product, or by emailing privacy@venuiq.app. We respond within the statutory timeframe (30 days under GDPR, 45 days under CCPA).
Cookies and tracking
See our Cookie Policy for a full list of the cookies we set, their purpose, and how you can manage your preferences.
International transfers
Personal data may be processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you reside. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.
